Plywood is a wood-like material that is made by glueing together thin sheets of wood veneer. Sheets of veneer are layered with the grain running perpendicular to each other to improve strength and rigidity. The outer layers will always have the same grain direction. The most common adhesive used during manufacture is a weather-resistant phenolic resin.
