Job Title – Large Format Production Operative and Installer
Length – Permanent
Salary – Subject to experience
Industry – Print Services
Hours – Full-time 8.5hrs 8.00-17.00 + Overtime (½ hour unpaid lunch)
Location – Golden Cross, East Sussex (Near Lewes)
The focus of this role is Installations, however the successful applicant will be also responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment and ensuring high-quality output for a variety of signage, print, and display projects in the factory on a day to day basis. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and excellent customer service skills. The installations will involve all types of Signage nationally and Exhibition Graphics both nationally and internationally.
Work Environment: This role is based in a fast-paced production setting that requires hands-on involvement with printing, finishing, and installation processes. Some tasks may involve working at height or handling large-format materials.
Travel Requirements: Occasional national and international travel may be required for exhibition stand installations, site visits, and client meetings. A valid passport and flexibility with travel schedules are essential.
Physical Requirements: The role involves manual handling, standing for extended periods, and operating machinery. Candidates should be comfortable with physical work and working in varied environments, including on-site installations.
Safety & Compliance: Employees must adhere to company health and safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, safe handling of equipment, and compliance with data protection policies.
Training & Development: Ongoing training is provided to enhance technical skills, software proficiency, and installation techniques. Employees are encouraged to develop within their role and contribute to process improvements.
Working Hours: Standard hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). Some overtime or weekend work may be required for specific projects or installations.

Production
Operate and maintain production equipment, including printers, laminators, and vinyl cutters.
Use software (Caldera, Adobe Creative Suite, Trello) to manage print jobs.
Perform finishing processes such as trimming, sewing, mounting vinyl, and collating products for delivery.
Maintain and organise the workshop, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
Assist in developing process manuals and documentation for operational efficiency.
Monitor and report on key production metrics for cost control and efficiency.
Organise and prioritise workflow to meet project specifications and deadlines.
Installation
Carry out in-house installations of vehicle wraps, signage, and exhibition stand graphics.
Conduct site visits, including international travel when required.
Travel to exhibition venues for stand construction and graphic fitting.
Ensure installations meet high-quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
Work at height when necessary, following strict safety protocols.
Customer Service
Communicate with clients and suppliers, ensuring all information is recorded and actioned appropriately.
Maintain accurate client and supplier records in the CRM system.
Greet and liaise with visitors and clients professionally, upholding company values.
Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
Other Duties
Assist with administrative tasks such as artwork checking and documentation.
Ensure compliance with data protection policies and client confidentiality agreements.
